Right now I’m a one-woman show and I have a full time salaried job. Because of this, I process orders in the evening after work, so generally shipping tends to be next-day, but I promise all shipping backlog will DEFINITELY be cleared every Monday. (Evenings and weekends are for packing and shipping!)
Shipping Fees
Here are my policies:
- If the shipping fees I incur when processing your order are more than $5 cheaper than what you paid, I refund the difference as store credit for you to use on your next purchase.
- If it costs me more to ship than you paid for shipping, I eat the difference because I should have calibrated my shipping calculator better.
Shipping is FREE over $250 for the continental United States. If you live in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming, shipping is FREE over $150!
I usually stick to whichever shipping carrier you have selected. If, however, you want me to use the cheapest option overall, please leave me a note on your order and tell me that it’s ok to change carriers if it will be cheaper.
Listed Options
USPS, UPS, Fedex
These three are using the USPS, UPS, and Fedex API to get commercial rates. This is most accurate when shipping smaller numbers (such as 4-10 sample jars). If you are ordering something that is not 1 case or a few jars, these calculators don’t always understand that things will arrive in multiple boxes and may vastly overcharge.
Negotiated Shipping
If you choose negotiated shipping, I will pack your order, send exact information to USPS, UPS, and Fedex through Goshippo, and then send you an invoice via Paypal, Square, or Stripe for shipping. I will not ship until the shipping invoice is paid. If you prefer to pay the exact cost of shipping and you don’t want me to issue store credit for shipping overages, this is the way to go.
Local Pickup
Exactly what it sounds like. I’ll e-mail you and we’ll find a date/time for pickup in Littleton, CO. No shipping/handling fees will be charged!
Which option is best?
If you are local or can drive to Aurora, Colorado, then local pickup is by far the best option. If you are in a huge hurry, call me!
If you are in the 48 contiguous United States, negotiated shipping is the most accurate, but I can’t guarantee rates as I go by what I get charged from Goshippo. If you are ordering cases, or if you are ordering a few vessels, the USPS/UPS/Fedex calculators are the way to go.
